Dr. Lynn Puana, MD, is a seasoned physician, innovator, and the Founder & Medical Director of the Premier Integrative & Cognitive Medical Institute (PICMI). With more than two decades of clinical experience, she has built her career on a singular mission: to transform how we understand, diagnose, and care for brain health.
Dr. Puana earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Her early years in medicine were defined by treating patients with chronic pain, trauma, addiction, and multifaceted medical conditions—experiences that revealed the limitations of conventional, symptom-focused care and inspired her to pursue a more comprehensive, root-cause approach.
Her journey took a deeply personal turn when her father’s Alzheimer’s disease went undiagnosed until its final stages—well beyond the point where early intervention could have made a meaningful difference. This moment became a defining catalyst in her life and career, solidifying her commitment to proactive brain health, early detection, and precision medicine.
Today, Dr. Puana integrates advanced diagnostic tools—including genomic testing, functional brain mapping, and cellular medicine evaluations—to uncover the underlying causes of cognitive and mental health challenges. Her expertise spans integrative medicine, cognitive health optimization, and personalized treatment strategies designed to restore clarity, emotional balance, and long-term neurological resilience.
